Lushunkou welcomes foreign enterprises

On Dec 22, representatives from Dalian overseas-funded enterprises, Dalian offices of international organizations and universities and colleges gathered in Lushunkou, Dalian city to exchange business views and set up a Lushunkou League of Foreign Entrepreneurs.

Party Secretary of the CPC Lushunkou District Committee of Dalian Yi Qingtao expressed his warm welcome to the overseas-funded enterprises in the district in a speech given on behalf of the local government.

Yi said that next year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. Lunshunkou is only in its 8th year of deepening reform and opening up wider to the outside world, but its results are impressive.

Its ecological environment is under good protection, and policies for inviting outside investment have been improved. Those conditions benefit development of light and green industries such as hydrogen energy resources, modern logistics and high-end equipment manufacturing, according to Yi.

"Now, foreign-funded enterprises have become an indispensable important power that promotes Lushunkou's economic and social development," Yi said.

He noted that the local government will continue to optimize the investment environment and services to create broad spaces in which domestic and overseas companies can take root in Lushunkou.

Yano Katsuya, executive deputy general manager of Dalian Imaoka Ship building Co Ltd, gave a speech on behalf of the foreign company representatives in which he introduced the development situation of his group.

Frederic Valadoux, general manager of the China branch of Le Belier, a leading manufacturer of molded aluminum safety components for cars, spoke highly of both the natural and business environment of Lushunkou.

Le Belier China operates two factories in the district and one in Wuhan of Central China's Hubei province. The annual turnover of the factories in Lushunkou reached €100 million, accounting for more than one third of the global turnover.

"Lushunkou is a nice place. My wife and our three children also enjoy the stay here," said Valadoux.

The event was held in the Dalian (Lushunkou) Technology Innovation Park.
