Guangzhou impresses Greek politician

Alexandros Modiano, vice-mayor of Athens, Greece, will visit Guangzhou with his family during Spring Festival to celebrate Chinese New Year. It is his third visit to the city over the past six months.

Recalling his first trip last October as an attendee of the World Cities Day event, Modiano said he  was attracted by the environment and flowers the moment he arrived in Guangzhou. 

"I was so impressed by the cityscape that I regretted not having been here earlier."

At the beginning of 2018, Modiano came to Guangzhou again and visited Guangzhou Library, Canton Tower, WeChat headquarters, and other such famous destinations. He admired Guangzhou's public services and cultural environment. In particular, he regarded Guangzhou Library as the best library he had ever visited.
