The world’s largest dog-shaped ice sculpture was completed in Shenyang on Feb 7, in order to welcome the Chinese Year of the Dog.
The ice sculpture, comprising of an adult dog and three puppies, is situated in Qipan Mountain Ice and Snow World. It measures 120 meters long, 55.66 meters wide and 20 meters tall, conveying the meaning of “good luck in the year of the dog ”.
The ice sculpture was built by around 100 sculptors over a week-long period, with the use of 60,000 cubic meters of ice.
It was recognized by the Shanghai China Records Headquarters as the largest dog-shaped ice sculpture in the world when it was completed on Feb 7.
