Eighteen suggestions and policies on encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in Jilin province were released by the local government on Feb 5.
According to the Information Office, the suggestions focus on four aspects -- talents, public service, talents attraction and support for innovation and entrepreneurship.
A green passage will open to make it easy for talents whose hometowns are not in Jilin province to settle their programs in the province and start up their businesses.
Salaries for talents are also flexible and will be adjusted according to their innovation contribution. Resident subsidies will also be offered to them and their children will be able to enter local schools.
Foreign talents can also get permanent residency certificates, participate in talent training programs and obtain senior professional and technical titles just like their Chinese colleagues.
Preferential policies including cultivating talents in industrial transformation, innovative technology and entrepreneurship, constructing provincial technology and innovation centers, laboratories and incubators and lowering service taxes were also put forward at the press conference.
The provincial government is working hard on attracting all kinds of talents to improve innovation and entrepreneurship in the province.
