Over 20 booths sold specialty goods for the Spring Festival, including traditional rice dumplings and black carp. Orienteering activities also attracted around 200 citizens who wanted to experience the local customs of Xin'an sub-district.
The event will last for about a month and will feature over 30 activities, including folk performances and solving lantern riddles.

Mr. Fei, a Wuxi citizen who took part in the orienteering event, found the event meaningful, "The past few years have witnessed great changes in Xin'an sub-district – the construction of Wuxi Taihu International Tech-Park and Huihaiwan Intelligent Town, as well as the development of the IoT industry here. Today's event promotes traditional customs and reminds me of the New Year of my childhood."
For the past four years, Xin'an sub-district has organized activities related to traditional cultural customs during the New Year season. "Traditional cultural customs add flavor to the Chinese New Year, and should continue to be preserved", said the event's sponsor.
