Paper cutting festival charms Shenyang residents

The First Paper Cutting Festival of Shenyang opened at a culture and arts center in the Huanggu district of Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Feb 2. 

The festival was hosted by the Shenyang culture, radio, film, TV, press and publications department and undertaken by both the College of Fine Arts and Design from Shenyang Normal University as well as the Huangu district’s culture, radio, film, TV, press and publications department.

More than 500 participants, including some from Beijing, Heilongjiang province and Jilin province, took part in the festival, displaying more than 3,000 pieces.

Paper cuttings exhibited at the festival mainly showcased natural landscapes, history, and the folk customs of Shenyang, attracting a large number of visitors.
