Jilin province's Acting Governor Jing Junhai stressed that Changchun should be a model for other cities to develop industries and support economic growth at a panel discussion with Changchun delegates on Jan 27.
Jing praised all aspects of Changchun's achievements and said he hoped the capital will continue to be a model for other cities in Jilin province.
He pointed that Changchun should continue to develop its tourism industry and attract more investment to promote the revitalization of its real economy.
Agriculture transformation and promotion of modern agriculture should also be a focus goal in 2018 for the city.
Innovative advantages including technology, education and talents must be applied to enhance companies' market positions.
In addition, the Changchun government should pay attention to livelihood issues such as employment, income, accommodation and medical care.
