New energy buses hit the road in Sanmenxia

A total of 25 new buses will run in the roads of Sanmenxia, Henan province on Jan 21, ismx.cn reported.

In comparison to the former batch of buses that have served for eight years, the new vehicles boast larger space with an increased length from 7.6 meters to ten meters.

"The new buses look better and have more seats, the most important thing is that with the air conditioning system on the bus, people don't have to endure the winter cold any more," a resident surnamed Zhang said with satisfaction.

The buses also have safety belts for every seat due to a part of its route being on the national highway.

There are 232 new energy buses in Sanmenxia, accounting for 80 percent of the total number. All the drivers will receive training to provide a safer and more comfortable experience in advance, according to Wang Honglin, an official from the local bus company.
