Tourism industry in Guizhou maintained good growth momentum in 2017, according to the Guizhou Tourism Development Committee.
Data shows that the province received 744 million tourists, earning 710 billion yuan ($111.84 billion), year-on-year increases of 40 percent and 41.6 percent respectively.
The rich ethnic cultures in Guizhou have drawn a large number of visitors from home and abroad. After watching the competition of Dong choirs among hundreds of villages in Congjiang county, a Canadian tourist was amazed and couldn't stop taking photos to record the spectacular event.
"Dong choirs sing naturally to express the original ethnic culture of the Dong ethnic group. I hope to visit here again," he said.
In recent years, Guizhou, with its ecological advantages and improvements to its transportation facilities, has become a popular tourist destination, attracting numerous visitors from home and abroad. By the end of 2017, 158.27 billion yuan had been invested in 100 scenic spots in the province to improve the infrastructure.

In addition to continually heightening the quality of its tourism experience, Guizhou has also held promotional activities in foreign countries including the US, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Indonesia to enhance its international reputation.
Next, Guizhou will accelerate the construction of all-region tourism by emphasizing its mountain terrain.
