The Shenyang-based subsidiary of China Southern Airlines launched a new route linking Shenyang in Northeast China’s Liaoning province to Bangkok, Thailand on Jan 20, to satisfy increasing demand from leisure travelers, Chinanews.com.cn reported.
The newly-launched flight is operated using an Airbus A320neo and runs every day.
The new flight will shorten the journey from Shenyang to Bangkok from around 10 hours to six hours, without having to transfer in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
It is the third international service launched by China Southern Airlines to link Shenyang to Southeast Asia, according to a staff member from the company.
Another flight connecting Shenyang with Nha Trang in Vietnam is expected to start operating very soon, which will offer more choice for tourists heading to Southeast Asia.
