The State Council, China's Cabinet, issued guidelines on promoting the collaborative development of the e-commerce and the express delivery and logistics industries on Tuesday.
According to the document, an Internet Plus logistics action plan should be implemented in order to improve the collaborative development of the e-commerce, express delivery and logistics industries.
China has become the world's biggest online retail market. To address the problems that have emerged, the document advances a number of measures to improve collaborative development. These include providing favorable policy support and optimizing the legal environment, improving infrastructure, strengthening standardized operations, enhancing service innovation and efficiency, applying new technologies such as big data and cloud computing, and enhancing green development of the sector.
The document requires related departments and local authorities to enhance their regulations to propel the orderly collaborative development of the e-commerce and express and logistics industries in their areas.
