An ice and snow festival highlighting winter fishing activities opened at Nanhai Wetland scenic area on Jan 20, reports Baotou Daily.
The ice and snow festival, starting in 2007, is now in its 11th session, and will host ice and snow sports including ice skating and skiing.
Located in the southern suburbs of Donghe district in Baotou, Nanhai Wetland scenic area is a national 4A-level scenic area which connects with the Yellow River to the south. The scenic area is in the center of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos tourism area. It covers an area of 1,664 hectares and boasts more than 200 types of animals and plants.
Residents take part in a winter fishing activity hosted by Nanhai Wetland scenic area in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 20.
