Beiben Trucks Group Co, headquartered in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to export 197 trucks to Cuba with a contract signed in December, according to a Jan 19 Baotou Daily report.
It represents Cuba’s biggest truck contract in 2017.
Funded by seven companies including China North Industries Group, China North Industries Corporation, and Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group, Beiben Trucks Group Co is a Baotou-based truck manufacturer with total assets reaching 15.3 billion yuan.
The company saw strong sales in 2017 with contracts for more than 2,200 trucks signed –– year-on-year growth of 40 percent. More than 2,000 Beiben produced trucks were sold in 2017, representing year-on-year growth of 33 percent.
