HIT’s professor wins award on national defense

Professor Ma Jing in Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)was voted as one of the “Ten Characters on Innovation in National Defense Science and Technology Industry”, which is a national-level  award that targets at scholars and experts who have made contributions to the field.

It was recently announced by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, which has sponsored four times of such kind of events since 2014.

Professor Ma Jing won the prize for his great contributions on China’s satellite communication. 

He started the research in 1991. Over the past 28 years, he has developed satellite communication technologies with high communication quality and strong stability, laying a solid foundation for China to establish a space laser high-speed real-time information network. It is also among the world-leading technologies on satellite communication.
