The intangible cultural heritage demonstration base of Tianjin's Hongqiao district opened on Dec 26. It has four parts: the Chinese traditional medicine Yidecheng Wenyao cultural museum, the Hongqiao intangible cultural heritage museum, a Chinese traditional medicine intangible cultural ancient prescriptions pavilion, and the Chinese traditional medicine "Biancang Academy".
The Chinese traditional medicine Yidecheng Wenyao cultural museum introduces the origin, development and mechanisms of treating olfactory diseases in Chinese traditional medicine and the culture of medicinal snuff. The museum shows the traditional skill of Yidecheng, which is a national level intangible cultural heritage, and presents the history and development of snuff.

To date, Yidecheng has built 91 institutes in 24 provinces and cities in China, and has captured 95 percent of the market. The product development skills of Yidecheng were selected for the fourth national intangible cultural heritage list in 2014.

The intangible cultural heritage demonstration base showcases eight kinds of intangible cultural heritage projects of Hongqiao district.
The Chinese traditional medicine intangible cultural ancient prescriptions pavilion records over thirty intangible Chinese traditional medicine projects.
The "Biancang Academy" is a Chinese traditional medicine cultural academy established by the Chinese traditional medicine intangible cultural heritage alliance. "Biancang" comes from the names of ancient Chinese doctors Bian Que and Cang Gong.
The intangible cultural heritage demonstration base of Hongqiao district aims to be the bellwether and guide of Tianjin's cultural construction.
