Two Europeans currently living in Guangzhou were interviewed by a Guangzhou-based news outlet xkb.com.cn last month. They shared their thoughts and opinions about Guangdong province and its capital.
Martin Fleischer, the German consul-general in Guangzhou, was impressed by the ten new policy incentives for foreign direct investment, which were announced by the Guangdong provincial government on Dec 4, 2017. He showed great confidence in the business prospects of the nearly 500 German enterprises operating in the province and believes that Guangdong will soon become the destination of choice for German businessmen looking to invest in China.

Having travelled to Guangzhou numerous times, Vittorio Gaudino, the Italian CEO of Sisma Group, has acclimated to its climate, landscape, and food, and now regards the city as his second home. He believes that Guangzhou has the world’s best manufacturing industry, and hopes that more Italians will take notice of the huge market quickly developing in the city.
