Two businesses located in Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, recently won autonomous region-level recognition for entrepreneurship, according to a Jan 15 Baotou Daily report.
A total of 50 businesses in the autonomous region were on the list.
Approved by the State Council in 1992, the zone is the only high-tech zone dedicated to the rare earth industry among China’s 53 national high-tech zones, and is the only national-level high-tech zone in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The high-tech district has taken steps to assist in the employment of college graduates and boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the district including enacting preferential policies, setting up incubators, and hosting innovation competitions targeting college and university students.
