Passenger traffic in Guiyang airport reaches high this year

Longdongbao, an international airport located in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, received 18 million passengers in 2017, a new high for the airport, according to statistics released on Dec 29.

Civil aviation has been a driver for Guiyang's economy ever since the Longdongbao International Airport reached annual traffic of 10 million people in 2013.

The airport currently offers flights to 81 domestic cities and 21 overseas cities, with a total of 195 routes. Guiyang serves as an important transport hub in the province, connecting other provincial cities such as Tongren, Liupanshui, Kaili and Libo.
