Gala in Baotou strengthens ties with Mongolia

A gala attended by a Baotou school and two schools from Mongolia was staged in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a Jan 11 Baotou Daily report.

The gala featured performances including dancing, singing, and Mongolian Long Tune –– a historical Mongolian type of folk music dating back to the 7th century AD, also known as Urtin Duu.

Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner has been making great strides in boosting ties with Mongolia. The banner has formed partnerships with Mongolia in various areas over the past few years as part of the implementation of national strategies for China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor.
