World's largest ginseng discovered in NE China

The biggest wild ginseng root in the world was displayed at a news conference in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on Jan 8.
The conference was sponsored by Jilin Zixin Pharmaceutical Industrial Co and Dunhua Kangping Investment.
At the conference, a Kangping staff member said they had purchased a 600-gram ginseng root from an experienced ginseng hunter at the end of 2017.
According to the ginseng hunter, the root should be hundreds of years old.
The two companies announced that they have decided to focus on exploring the root's medicinal, scientific research and academic value, hoping to benefit posterity and society as a whole.
