Guangzhou rolls out online housing rental platform

On Dec 30, a launch ceremony for the release of an online housing rental platform was held at the Canton Tower in Guangzhou.

 "Chengyi Yiju", is a platform established by the Guangzhou City Construction Investment Group. The WeChat official account "城壹宜居网" has been designated as the main major channel of communications for house rentals. Through integrating a variety of advanced technologies including that of cloud computing, data farms and artificial intelligence, the platform will be looking to help Guangzhou people have an easier time finding a property.

Information regarding public rental housing, and houses from agencies and individuals will be available through the platform. The whole rental process, from the signing of contracts to payments can all be conducted through the platform. 

In order to guarantee information security and prevent money laundering, all information regarding the client, housing resources, housing ownership and landlords will be matched with data from the government. AI technologies, such as face recognition, will also be employed to combat counterfeiting. Users are also able to check the property locations and surroundings with a special panoramic map system on the platform.

Officials from Guangzhou City Construction Investment Group added that the platform will also be able to provide other services as such as data analysis, supervision and financial services in the future.
