A factory-like agaricus bisporus planting base in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has recently commenced operations, according to a Dec 25 Baotou Daily report.
Located in Jiuyuan district, the planting base covers an area of 328 mu (21.87 hectares), and is the largest agaricus bisporus planting base in the autonomous region. A total of 120 million yuan ($18 million) has been invested into the project.
The sales revenue of the planting base is expected to reach 20 million yuan annually.
