A photography activity intending to promote the beautiful scenery and charming culture of Jilin province was held from Dec 21 to 25.

More than 20 professional photographers, including the secretary-general of the China Photographers Association and the deputy secretary general of the China Photo Journalists Society, were invited to visit the province.

They left their foot prints in places such as Changchun, capital of Jilin province; Baishan, the city at the foot of Changbai Mountain; and the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, where people can stand at the border and see Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the same time.

Photographers recorded the growth of the cities and changes to the pillar industries in Jilin province during the tour. The landmarks in Changchun, the exhibits at the Manchu Museum, silhouettes at ski resorts -- every photo tells a story of Jilin.

They also experienced local lifestyles in the villages along the Yalu River, visiting the strawberry and flower plantation bases, purchasing daily necessities at local markets and watching traditional performances.

Falcon training, winter fishing and spicy cabbages also fascinated the photographers.

Cameras have been recording life and history since the first one was invented in 1839. Now, photographers are using them to show a beautiful Jilin to people around the world.
