Industries in Hechi experience double-digit growth

Hechi's industrial output value has experienced double digit growth figures of 20.27 percent between the months of January and November.

The additional value of the industries that were above the designated scale have increased by 8 percent, which is 12.6 percent higher than it was at the beginning of the year.

The Hechi government's "one industry, one policy" and "one company, one policy" plans have proved to be fruitful. These plans incorporated such strategies such as the strengthening of services and providing guidance to key enterprises.

A "Work plan" to reduce costs of companies to promote the steady development of the 'real economy' has been formulated and passed to reduce. This entitled the reduction of electricity pries for companies, while also giving tax cuts and waiving fees, so that the firms may use the money for growth instead of operational costs.

These plans have resulted in the city helping companies reduce their operating costs by 1.55 billion yuan ($236.45 million) and taxes and other associated fees by 500 million yuan. Profits have grown significantly, that industrial enterprises above a specific scale have earned profits of 4.3 billion yuan which is a 36% increase compared to the previous year.

Hechi adheres to an environmentally sustainable development philosophy, which is why they have pushed forward plans of transforming industries to be more environmentally friendly. In August, the State Council labelled the Boguan Company located in Yizhou district as a "green factory" and also lauded it as one for the future with the "Made in China 2025" tag.

Hechi has started the construction of ecologically friendly manufacturing systems to seize the opportunity of becoming one of the first demonstration bases that comprehensively utilize industrial resources. For this year alone, five green factories, one green products company and one green park were all approved by the autonomous region.

The government has been promoting the transformation of industries and also the efficiency and quality of industrial development. To reach this goal, they have carried out supply-side reform along with the phasing out of redundant industrial components. Seventeen coal mines have been closed along with the introduction of newer technologies.
