Hisense Group, a leading household electrical appliance manufacturer announced a strategic partnership with the online retail giant JD.com to access the smart household appliance market on Dec 7 in Qingdao, Shandong province.
A brand new type of Hisense's smart refrigerator 550 was also launched on the day, which "is an exclusive product for customers as it weaves smart technology into their daily lives", according to Hisense.
Jia Shaoqian, president of Hisense Kelon Electrical Holdings Ltd, said that the cooperation will superimpose the advantage of both sides and realize a brand-new custom pattern that combines customers and product research and development, helping create a smart fridge ecosystem that integrates gourmet, shopping, entertainment and health management based on the application of Internet of Things technology.
Li Kefeng, vice president of JD.com, said that his company, which offers a steady distribution channel for household appliances, will continue to play its advantages so as to contribute more to promoting the development leading manufacturers.
Li added that cooperation with Hisense is on account of user requirements, and it will pioneer household appliances to the era of intelligence, and bring customers with lower prices, tailored products and better services.
