Sanmenxia scores big in sales at Beijing commodity fair

Sanmenxia's enterprises received high praise and high sales for 30 products at the featured commodity fair in Beijing, held from Dec 14 to 17.

At least 320 enterprises from 22 regions displayed over 1,000 featured commodities at the four-day event. Sanmenxia stood out among the pack by yielding over 300,000 yuan ($45,651.7) in on-site sales and signing a three-million yuan contract on purchases and sales.

Thanks to the efforts of the Sanmenxia Development and Reform Commission and Beijing Organizing Committee, some of the enterprises were even invited to exclusive activities such as a promotion conference held by the e-commerce giant JD.com and an agriculture products exposition.

The commodity fair held at the China International Exhibition Center aims to help regions expand their markets in Beijing as a part of the country's poverty alleviation plan. With the city's successful run at the expo, Sanmenxia serves as an excellent example of the plan at work.
