Guiyang gets the green light to establish agriculture laboratory

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou, to establish a national key agricultures laboratory, local media reported on Dec 15.

To guarantee the quality of exported food, the laboratory will be committed to testing local agricultural products, such as tea leaves, peppers, fruits and vegetables.

This development is a potential trigger to boost Guiyang's rural economy since the city is expected to expand the export of local agricultural products after the laboratory opens.
