The 22nd Guangzhou International Art Expo will run from Dec 21 to 24, with more than 20,000 pieces of artwork from 390 art institutions in 38 countries to be exhibited.

The artworks include oil paintings, video art, sculpture and engravings, with some created by renowned artists such as Zhang Daqian, Qi Baishi, Pablo Picasso, Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami.
Held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, the expo covers 30,000 square meters and consists of a total of 12 thematic exhibitions. They will mainly be arranged across three exhibition halls, Flower City Hall, Classics Hall and Collections Hall.
The Flower City Hall will feature the works created by influential artists from Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai and the Classics Hall will be under the theme of Lingnan culture and arts, while the Collections Hall will offer visitors five thematic exhibitions including the Guangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and the Porcelain Art Exhibition.

During the exhibitions, art connoisseurs and aficionados will be invited to offer professional introductions of the pieces on display for visitors. Virtual reality and video equipment will also be set up at the event to give visitors an interactive experience with the exhibits.
