The second Inner Mongolia Grassland Resources and Cooperation Summit Forum opened in Hohhot, the capital of the autonomous region, on Dec 16, offering a platform for the promotion of steady developments in modern animal husbandry.
Guests from across the region gathered under the theme of Continued Increases in Rural Incomes. Agricultural specialists and entrepreneurs, and representatives of herdsmen took part in the meeting.

According to many attendees, the fragile environment and existing risks in animal husbandry practices are major factors influencing the incomes of farmers and herdsmen in the region.
The construction of a systematic industry is the basis for steady development, attending experts said. Inner Mongolia will accelerate construction of a modern animal husbandry sector, officials said.
Representatives from Inner Mongolia Grassland Resources Chamber of Commerce (IMGRC) said that integration of resources will allow the region to fully utilize all accessible resources in pursuit of market expansion.
The two-day forum will also further explore the potential of companies, cooperatives, farmers and herdsmen uniting for common development.
A product presentation promoting regional brands was also held during the event.
