Gui'an New Area makes efforts to promote modern agriculture

Gui'an New Area, a national demonstration area of inland opening-up economy located in Guiyang of Guizhou province, successfully further optimized agricultural industrial structure and promoted the development of modern and efficient agriculture from five aspects, according to Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee of the area.

In one aspect, the area fostered a number of leading enterprises to lead the development of modern and efficient agriculture. It has introduced six large enterprises, with total planned investment of 2 billion yuan. The total output of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery has reached 923 million yuan so far this year.

The area also actively promotes the business mode of "big data plus agriculture" to facilitate the upgrading of agriculture. Information on vegetable planting, poultry breeding and rural tourism are integrated by big data technology to better control the quality of local agricultural products.

Moreover, the area encouraged all sides to work together for common development. It lawfully promoted the transfer of land management rights, transferring 17,654 mu of land. Data shows that 252 farmers' professional cooperatives, 224 large growers, 144 family farms and two professional cooperatives at national level were fostered to promote the scale and intensive development of agriculture.
