Tang Qingnian was sworn in as the fourth president of Wuxi's Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong on Dec 7.
The Wuxi Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong was established to provide services for businesspeople who invest in either city. Established in 2007, the chamber promotes cultural and economic communication between Wuxi and Hong Kong.
Li Xiaomin, Wuxi Party secretary, led an economic and commercial delegation to Hong Kong to deepen communication and promote cooperation with the local business community from Dec 7 to 9 as well as attend the inauguration ceremony.

Before the ceremony, Li held discussions with Dong Jianhua, vice president of CPPCC National Committee, where he introduced Wuxi's economic and social development as well as the main activities of the visit in Hong Kong and invited him to visit the city.
Li also expressed his willingness to cooperate with the delegates from Jiangsu province, Shanghai and Hong Kong at the ceremony, handing out small gifts and Wuxi specialties. Making his inaugural address, Tang said he hoped to maintain Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability as well as promote solidarity between associations and organizations in Jiangsu province and Hong Kong.
The new president is also the brother of the current president of the Federation of Hong Kong Jiangsu Community Organizations.
