Baotou exhibition highlights news photography

A photo exhibition featuring work created by Si Qin opened in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Dec 8, reports Baotou Daily.

Hosted by the Literature and Arts Association of Inner Mongolia, the exhibition displayed photographs by Si Qin, a big name in news photography in the autonomous region.

Si Qin, whose original name was Guo Linshan, is of the Daur ethnic group. Si Qin started working at Inner Mongolia Daily in 1947 and published his first news photographs in the Inner Mongolia Daily in 1950.

The exhibition will run until Dec 24.
