Conference on legal publicity responsibility held in Beijing

Zhang Jun, China's minister of Justice presided over a conference on the implementation of legal publicity responsibility on Dec 14 in Beijing.

Before the conference, members of ministerial-level joint conference on implementation of legal publicity responsibility system listened to an administrative case trial.

Zhang pointed out that attending a court trial is a vivid way to carry out legal publicity education as well as a sound way for cadres to make research into the work.

And the national legal publicity office will take up more effective measures to promote the formation of long-term working mechanism and work to normalize the attendance of leading cadres in court trial for the implementation of legal publicity responsibility system, according to Zhang.

Zhang said that now National legal publicity office is working to collect and summarize the legal publicity responsibility list and make it open to the general public in an appropriate way.

It's required to elaborate legal publicity evaluation system on legal publicity responsibility by national departments, Zhang said.

Jiang Bixin, vice-president of the Supreme Peoples' Court also introduced the acceptance and hearing of administrative lawsuit cases and new measures for implementation of legal publicity responsibility system.

Yang Wanming, president of Beijing High People's Court gave general introduction on the administrative lawsuit cases involving central authorities which are accepted by courts in Beijing.

At last, all the members agreed that through attending court hearing, they all feel the dignity of the rule of law and strengthen the sense of duty and mission over law-based exercise of state power and administration of government.
