Guangxi Power Grid Company, (广西电网公司河池供电局) a wholly owned subsidiary of the China Southern Power Grid Co, was established in 1971. It was renamed the Hechi Electric Power Bureau in June 1985, and changed its name to the Hechi Power Supply Bureau in Dec 1998.
There are 700 employees in its 15 functional departments and 12 second-tier management institutions. The company holds jurisdiction over six county power supply businesses - Yizhou, Jinchengjiang, Huanjiang, Dahua, Luocheng and Donglan. It has 41 substations under its jurisdiction, eight of which are 220 kV substations.
The company is located in a focus area of the China Western Development Plan and is an important channel for the West-East Electricity Transmission Project.
