Fenyong Hi-tech Economic Zone 

The Fenyong Hi-tech Economic Zone (湛江奋勇高新区), located in the southwest of Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, was founded in December, 2011 as a provincial-level hi-tech zone approved by the Guangdong government. In June 2012 it was upgraded into the "Sino-ASEAN Economic Development Zone". Master planning services for the zone, provided by Jurong International, a Singaporean company, are focused on three major sectors – biological medicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, and electronics. At the same time, six industrial parks for general manufacturing, biological medicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, electronics, logistics, and research and development are under planning and construction. The planning area for the first phase is about 1,333 hectares, and the construction of a manufacturing park with an area of 333 hectares has already been launched.
