Inner Mongolia autonomous region's steel output reached 20.17 million tons in 2016, an increase of 6.3 percent compared with the previous year, while output of 10 types of non-ferrous metals reached 3.34 million tons. Out of that, aluminum, aluminum strips and foil accounted for 2.73 million tons, representing an increase of 48.4 percent. Cement output reached 63.14 million tons for the construction materials industry.
