Yantai's foreign trade maintains a steady growth

In the first 11 months of the year, the import-export trade volume of Yantai exceeded 280 billion yuan ($42.6 billion), up by 7.6 percent year-on-year, according to statistics from the Yantai Customs.

The import-export trade volume of Yantai accounted for 17.3 percent of the total volume of Shandong province, ranking second in the province.

In the first 11 months of 2017, South Korea has become the largest trade partner of Yantai as its import-export trade with the country reached 49.5 billion yuan. The city's trade with countries and regions involved in China's Belt and Road Initiative has witnessed rapid growth.

The import of mechanical and electrical products, produce and bulk commodities has maintained a rapid growth, according to data from the Yantai Customs.
