Guiyang National Grain Trading Center has made online deals for 226,300 tons of grain, with a total turnover of 435 million yuan ($65.67 million), since its establishment in September 2014.
The center, approved by the National Grain Bureau, mainly deals with the auction trading of grain for local governments and the trading of state reserves of grain to keep inflation of food prices under control.
Therefore, it will soon play an import role in the macro-control of grain supply and food safety through improving the bidding system and regulating online trades.
