Located at the Jinjing Bay district in Pingtan, Xieli Science and Technology Industrial Park (协力(平潭)产业园) is an integrated circuit industrial park established by Xieli (Pingtan) Science and Technology Group, a joint venture funded by four companies from Fujian, Zhejiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
With an investment of 12 billion yuan ($1.8 billion) in total, the park covers an area of 1,300 mu and houses a complete IC industrial chain integrating technical research and innovation, components and parts processing and equipment manufacturing.
Currently, the park is still under construction and is expected to be finished in three years. After completion, it is estimated to generate 30 billion yuan in revenue and offer job opportunities for 10,000 people.
By then, the park will hopefully be home to one of the biggest integrated circuit industrial clusters in the country.
