An exposition of world-leading new materials opened in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, on Dec 8.
The three-day 2017 China (Ningbo) International Advanced Material Technology and Industry Exposition, brought together more than 350 research institutes and materials manufacturers from around the world, including Lanxess and Total, for a display of the most advanced materials, relevant manufacturing and processing techniques, equipment and application solutions.
Over 18,000 square meters, the expo had 610 standard booths classified into eight categories. More than 11,500 people registered to attend the event.
Along with new materials displays, the three-day event hosted a series of professional forums intended to provide opportunities for exchanges among attendees.
The new materials industry is a rising sector in Ningbo's industrial structure. Since 2002, the industry has maintained an annual growth rate of 30 percent, its output value accounting for more than 30 percent of all high technology industries in the city.
The expo organizing committee hopes the event will aid the internationalization of Ningbo's new materials industry and attract investments from overseas companies.
