Fourteen projects in modern logistics, urban complexes, precision instrument manufacturing, new energy, and financial services were signed in Doumen District on Dec 6, accounting for investment of about 3 billion yuan ($453 million).
One of them, the 336-million-yuan ($51 million) DHL-Weiheng Supply Chain Southern Integrated Operation Center, will cover 4.1 hectares. It will improve supply chain performance for customers in e-commerce, automobiles, medical treatment, science and technology, and consumer goods. Upon completion, it is expected to create an annual output value of 230 million yuan ($35 million).
Its investor, DHL Supply Chain (Hong Kong) Ltd, is one of the wholly owned subsidiaries of Deutsche Post DHL Group, a German postal service company on the Fortune Global 500 list. Founded in Hong Kong in 1970, DHL Supply Chain made 760 million Hong Kong dollars ($97 million) in revenue last year.

Investing 300 million yuan ($45.4 million), Fuma Instrument will have a headquarters and production base covering 3.3 hectares in Qianwu Town. The Guangdong Fuma Instrument complex will be a high-tech enterprise engaged in precision instrument R&D, production, and sales.
Guangdong Fuma's products will be used in gas flow detection and automated control for urban natural gas supply, the petrochemical industry, metallurgy, and electricity. When in operation, it will bring in revenue of 600 million yuan ($91 million) annually.
Zhuhai Xusheng Investment Co Ltd will spend 530 million yuan ($80 million) building Xusheng Cultural Plaza, an urban complex integrating cultural industry, business, office, and high-end hotel.
Furthermore, Guangdong Zhonglianjian Group will invest 400 million yuan ($60.5 million) to build a headquarters base in the district.

Moreover, Zhuhai Jinhai Environmental Technology Co Ltd will establish an office and production base at a cost of 245 million yuan ($37 million) to research, develop, and produce air-conditioner parts, plastic strainers, injection-molded items, and filters.
The signing of these projects will push forward local industrial upgrades and transformation while raising Doumen's profile, said Zhou Haijin, Party secretary of the district.
