Seminar on modern supply chain and development of new driving force for foreign trade was held in Xiamen, Fujian province on Nov 18, aiming to better serve the city's foreign trade enterprises.
The seminar was organized by Xiamen-based Justsun Group, a company offering online and offline supply chain solutions to foreign trade enterprises so as to improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade.
Experts attending the seminar believe that the development history of the Justsun Group echoes the improvement of Xiamen's foreign trade service, from a single service to an overall one that integrates information, capital, trade, and logistics.
Shen Jueren, former deputy director of China's Ministry of Commerce, said that as one of the new modes in trade, modern supply chain is vital towards promoting the construction of a strong trading country and is also helpful to the transformation and innovative development of traditional foreign trade enterprises.
He pointed out that developing modern supply chain can increase the ability of enterprises to expand their markets, guide them on how to control management risks and break the constraints in regards to resources, technologies and cultures.
After deeply observing the management mode of Justsun, Pei Changhong, chairman of China Marketing Association, suggested that a foreign trade service enterprise featuring a supply chain system like Justsun should set up a new goal of developing from such an enterprise serving Chinese mainland to an international enterprise of its kind.
He also indicated that there are still many difficulties to be solved in the development of modern supply chain, such as shortness of supporting policies, legal protection and professional talents.
Li Dongmin, president of Justsun, said at her speech that the global supply chain cooperation integrates all the markets around the world, delivering resources in need to every corner of the world and an ecosphere of global supply chain has therefore taken shape.
She believes these are the best times for Chinese enterprises to invest overseas and she assured that her company will provide them with the best service, helping them export raw materials and facilities and upgrade themselves according to the market demands.
A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving a product or service from the supplier to the customer. Supply chain activities involve the transformation of natural resources, raw materials, and components into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer.
