Longhua Temple

Longhua Temple is the oldest and largest temple in Shanghai with a history of over 1700 years. Its name is derived from the Buddhist sutra which describes Maitreya’s achievement of Buddhahood under the Longhua Tree.

Opening hours: 7:10-16:30, or 5:00-16:30 on first and fifteenth days of Chinese New Year
