Sanmenxia's rural residents' income shows fastest growth rate

Sanmenxia city ranked first place in Henan province when it comes to the per capita disposable income of rural residents of the first three quarters, according to the Henan Bureau of Statistics.

With a per capita disposable income of 8,732 yuan ($1,323) in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 9.4 percent, the rural residents of Sanmenxia are able to live a better life. Among the 8,732 yuan, 3,580 were the net income from operations, 3,439 were from wage and salary and 1,653 were transfer earnings.

Increasing the income of rural residents is a guaranteed way to narrow the wealth gap between rural and urban areas and develop the economy in a healthy way. To achieve this goal, the city has employed a series of measures, such as infrastructure construction, industry support and population transfer, to escalate the income of rural residents.
