Tianhe CBD ranks first in China in total production value

A recent report released by Institute for Urban and Environmental Studies China Academy of Social Sciences and Social Science Academic Press unveiled that Tianhe CBD tops in China's CBDs in terms of total production value.

During the first half year of 2017, the total production value of Tianhe CBD reached 136 billion yuan ($20.6 billion), accounting for 70 percent of the economy volume of the district and over one eighth of Guangzhou's GDP, making Tianhe CBD the true economic engine of Guangzhou.

Tianhe CBD boasts the most precious urban resources including prosperous commercial activities, convenient transportation and the most efficient government offices. In 2015, the CBD contributed a total of 31.7 billion-yuan tax to the local economy.

The place is also the cluster for the headquarters of global multinational enterprises as it is home to 184 Fortune top 500 enterprises and more than 100 company headquarters. Tianhe CBD continues to be a company magnet as in the first half year of 2017, more than 7,600 companies settled in the area.
