According to Guangdong's air quality report for the third quarter of 2016, the city of Zhanjiang came in with a rating that put it in first place.

The air pollution indices across the province overall have showed a decline. Concentrations of the major pollutant PM2.5 for example, were down 3.6 percent from the same last year period.

The report shows that Zhanjiang tops in air quality among the 21 prefectural-level cities in Guangdong. The coastal city in southwest Guangdong ranked the first and second respectively on provincial air quality reports for the previous two quarters of the year.

It's a place where people can lie down on a grassy spot and look up at the fluffy, white clouds drifting leisurely against an azure blue sky. And you can always revel in the agreeable autumn days around the city, while quite a few young mothers take their babies out for a breath of fresh air and some sunshine.

Zhanjiang owes part of its fine air quality to its subtropical climate and breezes that make it a favorable location for work as well as leisure and a loving life.
