Wuxi (Binhu) National Sensing Information Center[无锡(滨湖)国家传感信息中心] sits in the center of Wuxi Taihu Lake New City. The 5 billion yuan ($754 million) facility occupies 3.6 square kilometers.
Specializing in the application of sensor network information technology, the facility has become an industry leader and nationally recognized model thanks largely to its dedicated areas for research and development (R&D), systems, services, support, training, and logistics. Wuxi has already attracted many professionals from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Singapore to create and launch businesses and projects there.
The center deals in sensor network information technology and smart technology for communications, medical care, environmental protection, safety, logistics and the agricultural internet of things. The center has hosted 180 enterprises, including Fudan University’s Research Institute at Wuxi, CETC Internet of Things (Innovation and R&D), Wuxi iData Technology Co, Wuxi NCE Power, IMV, Wanrun Quantum, China Transportation Information and Compass Technology Co and Tianyu Medical Co.
