The Asia-Pacific headquarters of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles and the Orbital Vehicle Engineering Research Center were established in Melbourne in Australia on Nov 23.
The Orbital Vehicle Engineering Research Center will provide technology support for orbital vehicle projects in Asia-pacific area, and solve the problems in design, manufacture and maintenance. And, it will be the largest orbital vehicle operational center in Australia, providing more than 50 high-end positions.
On Nov 26, 2016, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles won a bid to provide subway vehicles in the State of Victoria by a public-private partnership model; to date it is the biggest procurement project of the state government.
Sun Yongcai, president of CRRC, said that CRRC will use good research and practical power to ensure that the partnership can solve the traffic challenges and grasp the opportunities.
Wang Run, chairman of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, said as that the company establishes solid relationships with local consumers and suppliers in Australia the Asia-Pacific headquarters will provide more and more jobs and export opportunities to manufacturers in Australia.

CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles has established cooperation with manufacturing enterprises in Boston and Log Angeles in the United States. With those connections the Asia-Pacific headquarters in Australia can provide all necessary train components to serve local people.
