Ordos Tongchuan Automobile Exposition Park (鄂尔多斯铜川汽车博览园) sits at the junctions of the Jungar Banner, Ejin Horo Banner and Dalad Banner, in the southeast of Dongsheng city proper. It is 40 km away from Ordos Airport and 96 km away from Baotou Airport, with National Highway 109, the folk street and the ring road passing through it.
It was established in 2009 and identified as an independent-run economic park. Guided by the concept of people gathering in the cities and industries gathering in the parks, it is devoted to creating an efficient, high-quality and comprehensive economic concentration park integrating automobile industries, mine electro mechanics, engineering machinery, sea buckthorn processing, e-commerce, modern warehouse logistics and services. Since it started construction in 2009, it was listed as a national service industry demonstration park in 2011, and is now one of the 18 key parks in Ordos.
Its total planning area is 31.97 sqkm with 10.3 sqkm having been built. About 13.3 billion yuan ($1.93 billion) has been invested so far with 600 million yuan of infrastructure investment.
At present, the park has 395 enterprises and 719 commercial tenants. There are 132 auto sales companies, including 57 light-vehicle 4S stores, 13 heavy-vehicle 4S stores and 62 auto trade enterprises, five automotive repair enterprises and 384 tenants, two testing companies, three car scraping companies, two driving schools, 58 second-hand car trading enterprises and second-hand car assessing enterprises, 103 hardware and mine electro mechanics enterprises and 63 related tenants, eight industrial enterprises, 12 financial institutions, six hotels, 12 logistics enterprises, five renewable energy enterprises and other 56 enterprises as well as 272 tenants of catering, accommodation, supermarkets and convenience shops.
In 2016, the sales volume was 14.2 billion yuan, the fixed assets investment was 1.6 billion yuan, and the public finance budget revenue was 23.3 million yuan.
