Tianjin formed an aviation and aerospace industry pattern involving aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, rockets, and satellites. Approximately 330 passenger aircrafts have been produced. The construction of the helicopter research base has achieved great progress, with an annual output capacity of 70 helicopters.
A document related to the development of Tianjin's aerospace industry said that by 2020, Tianjin's aerospace industry is expected to reach 30 billion yuan ($4.55 billion). Tianjin will speed up the development of high-end aerospace vehicles such as carrier rockets and space stations, and build an ultra-large spacecraft research base with international influence.
